Tournament Rules
Rules: All rules will be governed by the most current edition of the USSSA rule book
Game Times: Game time is forfeit time.
Time Limit: All games will be seven (7) innings or 55-minute time limit. The semi-final, final and “IF” games will not be subject to a 3-2 pitch rule.
Run Rule: In effect for all games (Section N. of the A.S.A.I. Playing Rules).
Home Run Limit: Same as league play.
Game Balls: Will be sold in the concession stand.
Home Team: Will be determined by coin flip.
Line Up: Manager to submit a line-up ten (10) minutes before game time.
Infield Practice: Not allowed.
Bracket: The bracket will be sanctioned by the A.S.A.I. Board of Directors. The tournament director reserves the right to switch times and/or fields for the purpose of keeping the tournament on schedule or due to conditions that present potential hazards.
Identification: All players must have official identification that corresponds with the team roster. Identification must be available at all times (see Section C. of the A.S.A.I. Playing Rules).
Suspension: A player, coach or manager ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct may be suspended for the remainder of the tournament (at the discretion of the tournamentDirectors).
Player Eligibility Protest: Eligibility must be questioned prior to the start of the game or at the time a player is inserted into the game (see Section C. of the A.S.A.I. Playing Rules).
Protest: Must be handled at the time of occurrence. Judgment calls by umpires cannot be protested. Decisions by the tournament Directors are final.
Alcohol: No alcoholic beverages or glass containers are allowed inside the City of Irving Parks Department property.
